Becoming a Lash Apothecary Educator does not automatically grant permission to teach Opal Free.
The 2026 Educator Program includes personal Opal Free Certification and places each new educator into an initial Opal Free probationary period. During this period, educators will have the opportunity to demonstrate their:
- Understanding of the Opal Free system
- Ability to follow the approved curriculum and protocols
- Professionalism and communication
- Accuracy when discussing Opal Free
- Consistency in representing Lash Apothecary
- Ability to provide a safe, supportive, and high-quality educational experience
Educators who successfully complete the probationary period may be considered for approval to teach Opal Free.
Approval to teach Opal Free is not automatic or guaranteed. Educators must receive separate, written authorization from Lash Apothecary before advertising, hosting, or teaching any Opal Free training or certification.
Lash Apothecary reserves the right to require additional education, evaluations, teaching demonstrations, mentorship, or other qualifications before granting Opal Free teaching privileges.
Until written approval is received, educators may use Opal Free professionally but may not:
- Advertise themselves as an Opal Free Educator
- Host an Opal Free class
- Teach the Opal Free curriculum
- Certify students in Opal Free
- Train another artist to professionally use Opal Free
2026 Opal Free Certification and Probationary Period
The 2026 Lash Apothecary Educator Program includes personal Opal Free Certification and an Opal Free Kit as part of the educator curriculum.
After completing the certification, new educators will enter an initial probationary period before they may be considered for permission to teach Opal Free.
During the probationary period, educators may be evaluated based on:
- Product knowledge
- Technical understanding
- Accuracy of information
- Professional conduct
- Participation in educator meetings and continuing education
- Compliance with current Lash Apothecary policies and protocols
- Teaching readiness
- Overall alignment with Lash Apothecary standards and values
Successful completion of the probationary period makes an educator eligible for consideration to teach Opal Free. It does not guarantee approval.
Educators may only begin teaching Opal Free after receiving formal, written authorization from Lash Apothecary.
Additional requirements, timelines, evaluations, and scheduling information will be provided to accepted applicants.
Previously Opal Free Certified Applicants
Applicants who completed Opal Free Certification before joining the 2026 Educator Class will receive a credit for their Opal Free tuition toward their educator tuition.
Previously certified applicants will not be required to repeat the designated personal Opal Free Certification portion of the educator training.
Previous certification does not automatically grant permission to teach Opal Free. Previously certified applicants must still complete the applicable educator probationary period, evaluations, and approval process before receiving Opal Free teaching privileges.
Additional scheduling and tuition-credit information will be provided to accepted applicants in September 2026.
